Important Warranty Information regarding your Guardian Furniture Care Program
Congratulations! You have selected the finest furniture care program available for your new furniture purchase. We are confident that the Guardian program you have chosen will protect your investment and provide years of worry free performance.
#1 Cover Page. This one page document will detail the specific warranty coverage for the plan you purchased. This document will also include a unique warranty number along with your registration information.
#2 Chartis Terms and Conditions. The four page Terms and Conditions document is the legal contract issued by the insurance company that backs your warranty. This document serves as a declaration page describing a wide spectrum of warranty coverage, only some of which pertains to your specific warranty. Within this document you will find information on care instructions, steps to make a claim, etc. (Note: The specific warranty coverage for the plan you purchased, is found on the cover page).
We would like to emphasize the following important points that are found in your warranty:
CLEANING Stains must be immediately blotted with a dry, absorbent white cloth. If further cleaning is required, refer to the instructions provided in the Terms and Conditions document. Do not attempt to clean the stained area with any products or methods not provided or recommended by Guardian. Doing so will void your warranty claim.
REPORTING REQUIREMENT To obtain warranty coverage, all warranty claims must be reported within 30 days from the time the stain or damage occurred. Please contact Guardian immediately if you require service.
ELIGIBILITY Covered stains: Warranty coverage is provided for many types of stains, including those resulting from any food or beverages normally consumed by humans, and from human or pet bodily fluids (perspiration and hair oils are not considered bodily fluids for the purposes of this warranty). In addition to these stains, the program also provides warranty coverage against several other types of stains in addition to many types of accidental damage. See warranty Cover Page for complete details.
All Guardian warranties specify that the stains and damage these warranties cover must be accidental. The warranties specifically exclude intentional damage, and damage caused by abuse or neglect. Reporting an accumulation of stains over a period of time that cannot be attributed to one specific accident will not be covered. The accidental rips, tears and punctures portion of your warranties specifically excludes damage from pets.
As warranty coverage is for specific stains, and not all stains are covered, the source of the stain must be identified when filing a claim. Unknown stains are not covered under the warranty.
If you have any questions regarding your warranty, or to file a claim, please contact Guardian at 1/800-527-8485. For information on removing a stain and/or how to file a claim, refer to page two of your Terms and Conditions Document.
